My Favorite Supplement + Fertility Boosters

Below you will find some of my favorite recommendations for fertility clients. In fact, I had been using the same recommendations below when I conceived my daughter this past July!

Let’s be honest, boosting fertility essentially means balancing hormones 👏🏼👏🏼 So even if you’re not looking to conceive, incorporating some of the suggestions below can be a beautiful addition to a hormone healthy protocol.

Before we dive in, I would like to mention that I find it SUPER helpful to test mineral balance with my clients when working on fertility. I always order the hair tissue mineral analysis test for my 3-month coaching clients so we can truly dive into what their individual body needs.

So let’s dive in to my recommendations, shall we? 🙂

I’ll go into a quick and dirty explanation of them below:

Beef Liver

I use beef liver like any prenatal or multivitamin. Providing the body with vitamin A, B vitamins, copper, and more! I personally use beef liver as a replacement for prenatal vitamins (which are full of synthetic forms). I just make sure to eat enough folate rich foods and get in eggs every day for added choline.

Magnesium

Magnesium is needed for so many functions in the body, but most importantly, we need to replenish this mineral if we are stressed (and who isn’t?!) I also believe it helped my pregnancy heartburn. A stressed body does not want to conceive, and supplementing with magnesium helps keep the balance.

Collagen + bone Borth

Collagen/Bone Broth is full of essential minerals and is gut healing to boot. So good for baby! In addition, collagen and bone broth is very soothing for the gut. A healthy gut = optimized fertility.

Pasture-raised eggs

Pasture raised eggs give us good protein, fat, and CHOLINE which is very much needed during pregnancy. So eat up those eggs on the daily!

Whole food vitamin c

Vitamin C helps to support progesterone levels and copper levels … key for fertility and mood stability. But make sure you’re getting vitamin c from whole foods (cherries, oranges, mango, pineapple, strawberry…) and not the synthetic form ascorbic acid. There are also some whole food vitamin c supplements out there, too.

Adrenal Elixirs

Adrenal Elixirs help support … our adrenals 🤪 which become extremely overtaxed when we are stressed. These elixirs provide the body with vitamin C, sodium, and potassium. I often switch between:

  • 4oz OJ, 1/4 tsp sea salt, 1/4 tsp cream of tarter OR 4oz coconut water, juice of a lime or lemon, and 1/4 tsp sea salt.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E (my favorite supplement behind magnesium) helps support progesterone levels (essential for a healthy luteal phase and implantation to occur) and balances the effects of estrogen in the body (goodbye PMS!). It also eases inflammation.

organic Dairy

DAIRY … Wow I never would have thought I would be sharing this. Dairy provides us with so many wonderful nutrients and is a good source of protein/fat. I swear by dairy in helping boost my fertility.

Have you tried any of the recommendations above? 🙂
