Taylor Merritt is a personal trainer, an educator, and the founder of Sweaty as a Mother. She joins us to talk about movement and fitness within pregnancy. There’s a lot of information out there, both good and bad, and it’s hard to separate the two, so sometimes you just need to hear from someone who knows what they’re talking about. Before her first pregnancy, she thought her knowledge as a trainer would be fine to practice during pregnancy, but she ended up causing health issues and making things worse. She ended up getting certified in prenatal training, which was an incredibly eye-opening experience, and her second pregnancy went completely differently. She talks about what she learned during training, as well as personal experience, and what she teaches women now about staying healthy during pregnancy.
